Our fridge takes up alot of juice out of the battery so RB had to charge our battery with the generator.  We never went dead but the battery wouldn't have lasted without a boost.  DH even told me that the generator was a GOOD PURCHASE (WOW!).    As for water, we conserved as much as we could and we still have water in our tank.  Maybe next time, we'll bathe the kids instead of just cleaning them up a bit.

Quote from: kimrb266Dee, there was a picture of a fire that I was feeding and it compared to one of yours and I did it without the flame thrower.

Wow...you do me proud....just remember when feeding a fire not to smother it... not that I would know anyone that would do that

Quote from: kimrb266The teasing may have been priceless to Brad & Mary but I'm still nursing my wounds, they grilled me hard.

Can't wait for the next trip!

oooh That's Memorial Day...... :Z

Quote from: griffsmomThe weather could not have been any nicer (much cooler than it would have been at home), and the same goes for the people.

What you talkin' about Willis    Do you mean the people couldn't have been much nicer or that they're cooler   than the people back home..  ;)

Quote from: cjpoppinLori or anyone else I typed in the web shots site again in my sig can you see if it works for you??? for me it won't open the picture will but the sig one is not working???? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr  I hate computers sometimes.........

Why were you not running your fridge on Propane???[/QUOTE]
Dee,  Unfortunately the frige we have needs elec to run the mother board and regulate the thermostat.  I found that out last year, I ever called the manufacturer and confirmed this.    The water heater on propane also draws a little amps to regulate the thermostat.  The fridge and water heater in our Niagara could run strictly on propane, no battery needed.

So for us we need that generator, or possibly a second battery set up.

We just completed adding a 2nd battery to the Hauler. since we drycamp alot I'm hoping it makes a huge difference. It's the same setup Dee has. We took the 12 volt deep Cycle which has 80 amp hours of power, and replaced it with 2 6 volt deep cycle batteries wired in a series, Now we have 225 amp hours of power. Huge difference on paper anyway. We'll see.
