We are currently getting things ready for our first pop up camping trip to Disney World in Florida.  In preparation I am going to have the add a room which came with our used pop up....put on at the dealership.  It was never used and never hooked up.  It looks like there are pieces that attach on the base of the camper down around the tires to create a complete enclosure space.  Never having seen one of these rooms, If everthing is closed up and the door to the camper is left open....so that if we put some of the older kids out there on cots...with the AC unit running inside the camper...will that add a room space  be cool enough for the kids to sleep comfortably in, etc?   Is there a floor to the add a room, and is it possible to create a seal between the walls and floor so critters and bugs dont get in?  Thanks for any advice on this issue....

Yes the AAR is fully enclosed.  You can see pictures of my AAR set up at my Webshots account.  The AC will go out into the AAR, but it will depend on how hot it is weather or not it will cool enough.  I think it will.  There isn't a floor, but you could take a tarp and put it on the ground and then fold it so that it covers the ground in the AAR.  We use a patio mat in our AAR.  A few tips for installing the AAR.  Attach the side panels before the roof is all the way up.  That way you don't have to reach so high.  Also you might want to set it up at home first so that you know where each section goes and how it attach

There is a long strip that fits between the frame of the popup and the ground - to get it to fit properly, at the 'step', you have to attach the strip to the frame of the step.  The ground "flaps" go inside and you can put a mat or carpet on the ground to seal it.

I've had inflatable mattresses in my Add-a-room and all was well.

As to the PUP AC cooling that area....it might not work too well as the window flaps are not sealed, but rather tied down - maybe attach some velcro for a better seal.  That's not to say that one couldn't cool the PUP, then put an oscellating fan in the Add-a-room to distribute some of the cool to that area.  (That's pretty much what I did).

And, if you have extra water hose, you can spray your awning with campground water (it's cooler than the air), and it will cool the area under your awning immediately.
