So I have my list of repairs ready for the Dealer to fix.  It's kind of long and I have more I am thinking of having them do.  What do you think?  I want to have them check my bearings and repack? if needed.  Also, I'm thinking I want to upgrade my thermostat.  Would that be something I should have them do?

You can have them do it, but it is easy to do yourself.  Just remove the wires and attach them to the new one.:)

When I read your thread title, I asked myself, "What are thermostat bearings?"   :sombraro:

That's for thermostats that are in constant use ... to kinda stave off getting them suddenly stuck in one position :D

They're like muffler bearings right? Except they're for the thermostat.  That reminds me; I need to inspect my heavy duty piston return springs in the Suburban.

Speaking of, can you take a bearing with a thermostat?

My thermostat bearings burned up on our last trip this year. The pup is pretty much unnavigable now. Heck, I don't even think it will float anymore!  :sombraro:

*On a side note - I saw that Fleetwood now has an E4! The thing is a monster. I also heard they finally got the thermostat bearing problem under control on this one.
