Hi all,

I am planning a trip to Lost Dutchman SP in Apache Junction on Sat. Feb. 23 if anyone is interested in going. I will be taking my 8 yr old daughter. Camping there is $12, first come first serve. There are no hookups but there are bathrooms and showers. The spots are huge with plenty of space between them. Ground fires are not allowed but you can bring a metal fire pit to use.

It would be nice to meet some of my fellow pup'ers from AZ.

How's the camping at Lake Pleasant? Maybe we can make the trip up that way sometime.

We would love to meet up sometime since we also have a daughter. She is 9 and in the third grade and enjoys meeting new friends. The only problem we have is that weekend is our 10th anniversary and my DH said no camping. We have camped on the last 4 anniversaries. I am not sure what he has up his sleeve only time will tell.

I had lived in Mesa for over 14 years and have never been to that state park. I must have driven by it at least 100 times and never stopped to take it in. Maybe on the next outing we can meet up with you.

Take care.

Sounds like a great trip, Gary.
We would love to get together with other AZ Pop Uppers too, but
that weekend I'm off Fri. and Sat., It's DW"s Birthday, not sure what I'm planning yet.
That Sunday is end of month inventory so there is no getting out of work on that day.
This weekend coming up is our DD's 9th Birthday,
Wow they grow up so fast.

I'd like to get a few trips to the Rim in this summer
as well as Big Lake in the White Mountains so give us
a shout if you plan on heading North.
Prescott and Flagstaff are great also, and so close to home.
Maybe another 2 weeks and it will be time to start de-winterizing.
It is still butt cold here at night. :frosty:
Y'all take care and maybe we will meet up at a CG this Spring or Summer.

We still want to make a trip up near you. There was one picture you had that was near the side of a mountain with a nice view of the valley below. I forget the cg but I want to go there.

We are going to the Grand Canyon in June and we are all looking forward to that. I'm 51, have lived here 8 years and have yet to visit the Grand Canyon so it's about time!

I'm sure we'll get together sometime this summer.

Hey AZsix,
I was checking out the AZ State Parks web site and submitted a request
for a brochure and information on the Parks system, besides the map
of all State Parks they sent out a map of Campgrounds and Facilities
on State, Federal and Tribal Lands.
Very nice AZ State Map with tons of information on camping ..
AZ Game and Fish Dept
AZ B.L.M
AZ. State Parks
AZ National Parks
US Fish and Wildlife Service
Tribal Lands
USDA Forest Service (each National Forest in the State)

Good Stuff, Great Information and the price is free, can't beat that.
Have a great outing next weekend.
I'll be thinking about you out there under the stars enjoying the fantastic weather down there.
Have Fun

Good information. I plan on doing some camping on Federal land this summer. We would love to drive into the wilderness, see a spot that looks nice and set up camp. I am going to send for the brochure too.

Wildflowers are starting to pop up (no pun intended) and Lost Dutchman is one of the best places for them so we may have some nice photo ops this weekend as well. Temp is supposed to be around 70 with a low of 50 so that will be nice.

We are thinking of going to Roper Lake SP in March and we want to get up to your neck of the woods late spring/early summer and hopefully we can get together.

I've been searching the site and I don't see where you can request a brochure. Did you just go to the "Contact Us" section and ask in the comment section?

BuddyBear

Right hand side about half way down.
