Well, it looks like I am the first to post. We arrive home about 2:30, not to much traffic except for the last part of the grapevine, it clogged up and stopped on us. Finally got to the accident and it was a very serious..had to be a fatality. single car went off the road and appeared to have struck a phone pole, couldn't tell what type of car it use to be. We saw the yellow sheet laying in the driver side area, CHP taking pictures, the whole nine yards, pretty ughly. But for that it was a great trip.

Thank you Brad and Mary for the great directions home, it saved some time and traffic. Brad, how was the Crustable? Yummy?

It was a great weekend, weather was perfect...beats 112 when I left Bakersfield. We got home to 83....WOW..:)

We enjoyed the excellent potluck, I thought one of the best, lots of great food. We had a great time talking to everyone, the kids enjoyed the water. We took half the beach home with us. I can't believe the places you can find sand, when you try and be so careful...:)

Thanks for a great time, we are really fired up for the Halloween trip.

Looking forward to other posts on there experience at Pt Magu. Our first time there and we will definitely be back.

Kevin & Bob, glad you made it home okay...we got home and unpacked, and had so much sand in the laundry room...I couldn't believe it!  we too were trying to be careful...pockets in clothes get you every time!  We had a wonderful weekend, and enjoyed the kicking back and relaxation!  Sean loved the water and is ready to go again...

We loved meeting "Mattman" and his wife Kathy...they have been lurking our PUT online site and made their own reservations at Mugu.  They joined us for the dinner potluck...if you are out there Matt & Kathy, WELCOME!  Looking forward to camping with you again.

Glad to see Jim and Richard getting along better on the bad knees.  Thank you to Carol, Jim and Wayne for getting out sites for us to try to be close together....Sorry that Laura had to leave early and we did not get to see her...IS JED OKAY?

We are looking forward to our next sccamper rally....Riley Farms!

What an adventure! :eyecrazy:

We never come away from a rally without proclaiming what a great group we have become. From the breakfast and dinner potlucks to calling Dee and Brian during the nightly campfire get togethers! To Dave for his having a tool in my time of need, to get the trailer tongue off the ground. Thanks Brad with the suggestion of what I over look and fixing the gennie problem. Wayne and Carolyn for their helping us when we really needed it. To Carol & Jim for being able to travel so far and keep us hot at the campfire.  Nice meeting "Mattman" and Kathy and their son. Hope you get on board and come camp with us. Good seeing Victor and Jeannie make it as well as Mike and Toni who were at opposite ends of the beach! Good meeting Rhonda's family again. Allen, good luck on next week's deep sea fishing trip.
Our problems were with the trailer's electrical. The generator took awhile to get going. The second time was at night when we tried to go to bed. The low voltage beeper kept going off! It was so bad that Trina had to sleep in the truck! The two rv batteries could not sustaine the needed volts to start the generator a second time. I have a short in the system which I hope won't be hard to find.
To Kevin, for always being my wing man and helping make the travel less stressfull! For Kim and Richard making it past midnight, two nites in a row!.
Lori, you could go on Rachel Ray's cook show with the dutch oven monkey rolls. They are big hit with our family.  Im sure Wayne's family who came in their new travel trailer had a good time and got to meet most of us. If I left anybody out, tell me in a pm.

We got home in record time, about 11ish. Silly me, because I moved the truck away from the dumping station, DH decided I was driving home. Luckily, there wasn't any traffic for me to worry about.

We had a GREAT time but wished it was warmer yesterday but all in all, we had a wonderful time. The kids enjoyed playing with Griffin and it was nice meeting some new people. Wavery's grandkids are adorable and I enjoyed talking with his daughter.

Thank you Carol & Jim for getting our awesome spot in the mix of things, we really appreciate it. Hope Jim feels better soon.

It was nice talking and getting to know some of you more.

See you at Riley's

Thanks,

My grandkids had a ball with all the other SCCAMPER kids. Danny and Griff hit it off right away. I guess Danny became quite a star after catching that shark and sharing it with all the other kids.  I really got a kick out of Leanna picking up the shark and carrying him back to the ocean. She isn't afraid of anything. Leanna is "Grandpa's girl" and likes to stick by my side more than the others.

Dan & Lori have already asked to be kept posted on our upcoming camp-outs. I'm looking forward to them coming too.  :-()  :-()

Thanks for your concern, all.

Jed is on the mend.  We don't know what he got, but it was a nasty intestinal bug that had things coming out of both ends.  After a trip to the Vet on Friday (to the tune of $385) and a couple of shots of stuff to stop both ends he's beginning to act like his old self.  But he hasn't been that sick before -- a first for both of us.

I'm sorry that we had to leave so quickly so that you all didn't meet Sharon, but we needed to get on the road ASAP to get back to help Marianne with Jed.  She didn't see much of Pt. Mugu, but we had a fun dinner at Duke's in Malibu, sitting right next to the rocks & watching the waves break over them.  She enjoyed her visit here & is planning to be back the first of the year to work (she's going full-time as a traveling nurse).  So, we may have a new SCCampers member if she comes!

Jed & I will be at Santa Paula, so we'll see you all then.  Again, thanks for your concern.
