Patching of plastic windows?

My new to me Pup is in great shape overall but, I did find one small place where the plastic window material is blown out.  Looks like it could have been pinched when closing or maybe a pole or tree branch pushed through it.  I'd say that a 2"-3" square patch would cover it, I'm just not sure what will make the best and most permanent repair?  Would I use something like clear vinyl tape or is there some special glue on patch available that's better.

I picked up a roll of the clear tape for either awning repairs or use on windows.  I haven't had to use it yet.  I got mine at my dealership.
