How far away is Allentown?  I checked the Scranton Red Barons (AAA Yankee affliliate).  Bad news...they're playing away while we're there.  Good news...they're playing the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (Phillies) in Allentown.  Find schedule here: http://www.ironpigsbaseball.com/tickets/schedule/index.html?act
Link shows April schedule but it's easy to get to July from there.

Ticket prices are not up yet, but they do have group rates.  Prices shouldn't be that bad, certainly considerably lower than the Big League team but games are just about as good.  Thursday night might be a good night for a caravan.

How far away is Allentown?

About 80 to 100 miles depending on where the ball park is.

For those with kids Knoebles Grove Amusement Park is a great place to go.  Free parking, admission (you pay for rides with tickets or a hand stamp), and entertainment.  Dogs are allowed in the park, there are many benches to sit on, trees, pavilions to eat at near the parking lot or you can bring you food into the park to eat along the way.  They have adult and scaled down rides just for the kids.  I am guessing it will take about an hour and a half to get there, but it is well worth the trip.:)

Great ideas.  Can't wait.

Yes, some great ideas.
We're big train fans and I love a good train robbery.
I went to the Knoebles web site and it looks good. Elaine doesn't do well in the heat. If it happens to be extremely hot that particular day. But it's always a possibility. Of course we wouldn't miss any campground activities.

We'll be spending at least two days of the week at Lake Wallenpaupack. DH has convinced me to tow his Waverunner to the campground so he can have some fun on the lake. Our friends just bought a set of two, so they will be playing with him. He'll likely try to go even more often than just two days. Yippee! Double gas $$$!   :(
