Hello all, when i bought my pup i read around a bit on different sites and found out i should drain and rinse my fresh water every year or so.  So when i crawled under my pup looking for said tank, i found it :D  i looked at the plug and thought to myself, self how are you going to drain the tank with out getting water every where   well there was no other way but to drain it, so i took out the plug and let it drain on the ground.

I then went to my local hardware store to peruse the aisle to see what i could find (my wife says this is dangrous to do) i found a 90deg elbow and a hose bib or valve so i could hook up an old section of hose and drain it to some where else :D

All of this is pvc so weight is not a factor, i also have the faucet/valve turned so it faces fore and aft for a little lower profile, it would be bad form to rip the valve off and lose all of your water :yikes:

I found that the plug(plastic) had the size molded into it, so finding the right size was easy :-()

It doesn't need to be that complicated. I just pulled out the plug and screwed in a 1/2" garden faucet. Whenever I leave the CG, I just open the faucet and let it drain all the way home.

Not sure where your drain is located but, ours was dead center in the tank. So you had to crawl under camper to drain. I bought a threaded 90 and pVc  to run out to the side and put a simple valve on at the outside. Used 2 pipe hangers to secure pipe and it works great.
