Hey, New to the forum, love it.

I just bought a 96 Fleetwood Cheyenne. I had a 1972 Venture for about 3 years that was gutted and we never had a battery or fridge etc to worry about. Now with the new trailer I am trying to figure everything out. I have thought about buying a second deep cycle battery and a second propane tank and modding a rack on the tongue for them. Then I got to looking into just charging the battery.

I looked at some small generators that could be running during the day to charge the battery. Then I have read some comments on here about Solar power to charge the battery. What recommendations do you guys have for solar power charging.

I worry about the battery and propane because the day we bought the trailer 3/1/08 we slept in it and the furnace ran all night. It was probably 35 to 40 degrees and we got a little snow and alot of wind. The furnace ran all night and kept us nice and comfy. I only used 1.6 gallons of propane but a couple days later we opened it back up to show it off and the battery was dead. I have purchased a  3 stage charger(thanks to reading this forum).

We rarely stay anywhere that people are within a mile of us, I like solitude. But when we do I don't want to be the loud generator guy.
