maddox family campground

I am going to Maddox Family Campground in Chincateague Virgina in JUne.  Has anyone ever been there

I have not camped there, but I have driven through it.  They have fences that separate the campsites and can make it hard to get into.  Sites are not very big.

I just spent last weekend there.  Mosquitos are out in force already. (not their fault) They have a site map on their web site.  The mini-golf has been removed.  There is a pic on the site, but they don't list it as an ammentity.  The lot I was on had a sewer hook-up that was nearly a foot out of the ground, with a 90 deg. elbow at the end to boot. I meant to take a picture of it, since my TT's hookup was lower than the inlet.  It was clearly running to the adjacent sewr hook up.  I saw another like this on my row, but this didn't appear to be the norm.  Bathrooms were basic, but seemed clean.  I thought the sites were narrow, more so than the 4 sites we hit last year.  There's a pretty large permanent population.  I think this was a slow time of year thing, but there was no trash pick up at site.  Really close to the beach.  And you can see the lighthouse fromt the grounds.
