I sho am mad at my uncle's sister's baby's daddy's grandma for not telling me she added on to the the family mansion. She told me she'd let me stay if she had the room.....

I hope thats not located in S.C., we already have a bad enough reputation as being a bunch of rednecks. Then again, sometimes I'm just plain proud to be one !!! (Born in Santa Clara CA, raised in Columbia, S.C.) :D

P.S.Had our first night in the PU last weekend. This was a "dry run" to check function, and add to our "to do" list. It was at Dreher Island SP in SC. great spot #003, when we go back I'll try to get 079. We stayed friday night, around 230 am it was a little cool had to cut on the poratble electric heater, not bad though. Sat. the wind was about 10-20 with gust up to 40 per the news. Several of the other PU's left early, so did we. One of the campsites had a young couple that stayed in a tent, they were still there when we left, but then again 10-15 years ago I could have tolerated it better (+ being a young couple in love....pretty obvious.... doesn't hurt either)

Wow!

Cool idea, but a little scary!  I sure would hate to be in one of those 'high rises' in a good wind!  You might get a ride like Dorothy Gale did in the Wizard of Oz!

Wonder what they are mounted on?  hope it's sturdy!

I gotta say I am pretty proud of them, there doesn't appear to be one tire on any one of those roofs.  Cool Beans.

I could live there

I was just south last weekend - well, Arkansas, anyway - and saw trailer homes with tires all over the roof, what're they for?  Is it for weight? or just to breed more mosquitos in the water they hold?

Another thing - as we got further south in southern IL, Missourri and Arkansas I was amazed at the number of dogs I saw roaming loose - on the 4 lane divided highways!  Some were farm dogs with noticable collars, but many, my friend told me, were probably wild and running in small packs of 2-4 dogs.

I saw identifiable black & yellow labs, rotweiler mixes, and border collie mixes, and at least two golden retreivers, which broke my heart - as they are NOT tempermentally suited to living wild.  I hate when people allow pets to roam loose, abandon them and don't take care of them.  I've seen too many from working in Golden rescue -

Why are there so many roaming loose on the highways? is it the flooding? (we were near the areas of heavy rainfall in the mississippi river valley, SE Missourri and NE ARK.)

That's a bit scary.  I'll stay on the ground thank you. ;)

The trailer tires on the roofs are to hold the metal roof down when the wind blows. It keeps the metal from flapping and making noise. Believe it or not!
