I'm ex-military so I use a combination of concertina wire, 550 cord, and hundred-mile-an-hour tape.

Quote from: McCampersWhat is it with you Canadiens and railroads?  Every since Gordon Lightfoot put out that Candian Railway Trilogy?  Just kidding put away that Hockey stick and the Lord Calvert bottle.

For the record....

"Canadiens" are the hockey team in Montreal - the best by the way

I can't stand Gordon Lightfoot's music

"Lord Calvert Bottle"?    did you mean Lord Stanley's Cup... the greatest trophy in professional sports...?

And hockey sticks are very very good multi-taskers...

My mistake, but I thought they were habs.  Yes I know all about Ole Jaque Plante and all that, but what about lately?

No I'm familiar with Lord Stanley's special cup as it has found its way to Detroit more than anywhere.

I was speaking about Canadian Lord Calvert the whiskey, but of course you already knew that probably.

Do you guys still eat the "back bacon" and drink the Molsons?

And what about the Senators?  I thought they were the rage?  What about Scotty Bowman?  Where did he finish up his career?

I don' t really know much about Canada, but its a very cool place.  At least they tell me it is most of the year.

I will confess I don't drink whiskey, so you got me there.... welch's grape juice for communion is about as strong as I get...

bacon, who doesn't love bacon... bacon has brought many vegetarians back to a life that was meant to be lived with pointy teeth for eating meat...

the Habs (the Montreal Canadiens) are just gearing up for a run at their 25 Stanley Cup...  and are currently several points ahead of the SEnators...

SCotty Bowman had five straight cups with the Habs...  there is some talk he may end up in Toronto...  I sure hope not...  it would be a shame for him to get wrapped up in a mess like them....

But back on topic...   where are all the hockey tacky lights anyway...

Good question.  We need some little goalies, or maybe some old school mullet wearing Forwards in full stride.

The mullet ones would be sweet...  cause they could sell very well in the southern states too...  maybe give them that kung fu grip so you could exchange the hockey stick for other things...   like - bat, or hammer, or bacon or whatever you wanted them to hold...  It would be great...

McCampers

Nice one.  It is true we still wear the Mullet down here in the small towns.  People still think Brian Bosworth plays football too.  I like the Kung Fu grip action as well.  We might have an idea here.  Do you know anyone in the plastics molding business?  We could start our own line of tacky lights.  We could even build in the hangers to the strand and people would automatically know how to hang them.

Sure we could build the hangers but that would kill this thread then...

then again... maybe that would be a good thing..   ha  ha  ha...

I don't know anyone in the plastics moulding business... but that outdoor stove on my pop up could melt plastic easy...   or we could probably find someone in China or India...

BTW...  mullets are still kind of in with some hockey players...

Oh yeah I know,  we have minor league team here and those poor boys from the low end juniors come down here with those awful doos.  They're convinced they're still cool.  The latest thing has been the mowhawk.

Hey do you have a green light and red light above the door to your PUP?  So that every time you walk in your PUP the red light lites up and a load buzzer goes off?

no, never heard of such a light or a buzzer.. the only thing over the door on mine is parts of my scalp that come off if I get in it too quick..

I just thought, with you being a hockey guy and all you'd have the lights like a goal rigged up on your stuff. LOL

My favorite bumper sticker of all time

"Jesus Saves
Gretzy steals, he shoots, he scores!!!"

I once played on a softball team and the guy playing short-stop flubbed a hard grounder in practice and he swore, saying "Jesus" in a way that wasn't worship...

Anyway I was playing second and said to him, "Hey, don't blame JEsus he would have made that play."   it was funny cause it shut him up and he never said anything else.  Ha Ha

speaking of jesus and tacky lights, in my search for them I found lots of crazy relgious tacky lights... not really my thing though...

Just this evening I purchased a pack of 20 Velcro brand outdoor light clips from Big Lots store for $2.49.  I will try them on my next camping trip.
