I am not near as diligent with the post as you guys..Sorry...I try to check as often as possible..but I have dry spells...UGH!

Plan is:
Make your own reservations or have someone make it for you.  I will be busy making my two reservations.

As soon as we know who actually got a site, we will organize pot lucks, games, maybe a bike trip, etc.

Each site has a wood firepit and table, most of the ones are on the beach...if you want to better your odds of getting a site, try for one on beach and one grass.  Just hold to the site number you are trying for, or you will be fighting for the same ones as other socal campers.

I use reserveamerica all the time...and go to Doheny several times a year..Fun family kinda place.

I really would like to go but there's no way I can make a reservation on May 1 unless I take the whole day off.  And that wouldn't be looked upon favorably as it's right in the middle of our State testing.

I would gladly reimburse anyone who could make a reservation for me.  Is there anyone who can make 2 reservations -- one for yourself & one for me?

Carol....that's not a beach front site. It should be easier to get. It's the beach front sites that are nearly impossible to get.

If you get in right away, you might want to try for a beach front site first, then get #42 as a second site. I guarantee you that someone will want the beach front site if you can get it.
