New to the forum and wanted to say Hi to everyone.  I've been lurking here ever since we got the idea to purchase a pop up and since I officially registered yesterday, wanted to thank everyone for the wealth of information that helped us make our decision.

Yesterday we bought a used, mint condition, 2005 Fleetwood Niagara.  After researching here we feel we made a informed decision and knew what to look for, what questions to ask, and what to purchase.  We bought it as our "second" pop up based on one of the threads that said to purchase your first like it was your second.  Our twin boys have room to grow up with out crowding us out of it quickly  :p Add to the twins, a two year old German Shepherd and I think we'll need the extra space.  Once we get it to a scenic spot, I'll post some photos. Our driveway isn't near as beautiful as the surrounding mountains.

Looking forward to more good advice and pop up camaraderie.

Ditto the welcome.   Just remember, no question is a dumb question.  You are probably asking it for several people who are afraid to ask.

GOOD LUCK and ENJOY

Welcome aboard Shepherd. You'll find a wealth of information and opinions on this board; and some great advice. As I have. Remember, you have not just purchased a camper, you have purchased the means with which future memories will be made. Pictures, LOTS and LOTS of pictures please!  :p

One of my other hobbies is photography so that shouldn't be a problem.  You guys will probably start asking me to NOT post pics :)

Welcome and enjoy your Niagara.  We nearly bought one a couple years ago.  The 2006 and newer have the gray and black water storage tanks.  I'd really like to have that option, but we couldn't afford the upgrade.  You'll like the Pup camping.

Congrats!!  You bought a great pop-up.....we have the same one, except it is a 2004 (and called a Hemlock, they changed the name in 2005....as not many people wanted to buy a pop-up named after poison).   :D It works out great for the four of us!

Hey, thanks again for all the responses and the warm welcome.  We spent the night in the Niagara in the driveway last night to test all the equipment and had a fun time.  Everything works great.  It got down to 36 degrees and the furnace kept us toasty.  I was amazed how quiet the furnace was, I thought it might disturb the neighbors, but they said they didn't hear a thing.

Cooked burgers on the outdoor grill for dinner and made cinnamon rolls in the oven for breakfast.  Couldn't be happier.  We probably waited too late for reservations, but we're hoping to find a place to actually camp for Memorial Day weekend.
