As we are getting ready to go on our 5th camping trip this year I find that I am just as excited as I was the first time we went out this year. :-()  The joys of our ntu Coleman/Fleetwood Utah have been many so far.  We used to tent camp a good bit but I found getting up off the ground and set-up and take down a huge hassle, not to mention the hot humid Ga weather would often get the best of me.  For some unknown reason the pop-up seems less difficult to me. Does anyone else still get that giddy teenage feeling knowing they are going camping even for a short trip?  I cant wait to go!

 :D I'm right there with ya'.  :p

My wife makes fun of me   because on every trip we take, I circle the Pup and grounds taking picture after picture of the pup. When I'm in my home office, working and wishing I was camping, I just cycle through the pictures, over and over again, reliving the trip. :-()  My screen saver/background are pictures of the pup. God I love my Pup and camping.

:-() Going over to drag it home for use this weekend.  :-()  Headed up to Mt Hood for a couple of nights. I only wish I had room to keep it at the house so I could go out and pet it every day.  :D

I know, I know....I need help :book:

Every time!!!!! :-()

Our kid is the worst though. As soon as we start taking out the camping gear, the kid gets excited. He screams every time we walk by his play-pen. The night before, he won't sleep. He just keeps screaming. When we finally get him settled down he wines and all night long, it's, "Mommy"....."Daddy"......

In the morning the screams start all over until we finally get him into the TV. Then it's........front seat :-() ....back seat :-() .....in our face :-() ......hanging upside down from the sun-visors :-() ......pulling the keys out of the ignition :-() .....tearing up paper and and throwing it all over the place :-() . Ya think he's excited???? He's really helpful setting up the PU though....

BTW....our "kid" is a parrot. :sombraro:

Oh ya...WELCOME TO PUT!!!

flyfisherman

There's a group of us old fogey fly fisherman who get together a couple times a year, usually in the spring and then in the fall. Most always have a great time when we have these get-togethers ... there have been times when the weather did not co-operate with us! We had our spring get-to-gether last month in the mountains of western North Carolina and had a grand time! However, one night it did rain ... and kinda hard for little while, then tappered off to a steady drizzel. By morning the rain had stopped and the sun came out and events continued on. But as I lay snuggled in the Starcraft's comfortable bunk, all dry and comfee, with the sound of the rain lulling me off into slumber, I remembered those tent camping days on the ground!

Ah, yes ... the popup can at times have some shortcomings, but when it shines, it sparkles!

Try opening all the windows in your TV while travelling down the expressway at 70 MPH..This will be a very easy way to get rid of what seems to be a very  dangerous driver distraction problem.......

Too bad, parrots make great ornaments on the front ends of eighteen wheelers.....

I get the same way. I think I am worse than the kids. If I had my way we'd camp almost every weekend. Just because we get older, it doesn't mean that we have to grow up!

I'll join this crew of excited people.  And, tomorrow I'M GOING CAMPING!!!!  First trip this year, and it's way overdue.

suzhol welcome to PUT.  Hope you enjoy your camper as much as I enjoy mine.  I also get excited when I am going camping.  It doesn't matter how long or short of a trip, I can't wait to get out of work and go camping.:)

Jan hope you have a great trip.:)

I too can't wait for camping.  I am leaving next Thursday for a 4 day trip to Caswell Memorial State Park, Ripon, CA.  Hopefully the river is not so high that we can't play in it.

I'm like a kid when it comes to camping. I get excited and it's all I can think about. We're leaving on Thursdayfor a 4 day trip to Caledonia State Park in Pa. It's not far from here but I'm still excited!

Still excited??  Oh yeah...i've been camping since I was a kid and still get excited over every trip.  We're getting ready for our first big trip of the year....11 days, 10 nights and I can't wait!    I go out and just sit in the camper as often as possible all year just to get away, and DH actually works out of it some afternoons.   Every time my DS and his girlfriend have come to visit they stay in the camper ...no matter how cold.     I'm just ready to get away!   I've been packing up all day..and we don't even leave until Thursday but I just can't stay out of it.   :>     I'm sooooooooo ready to get away.

OC Campers

We have had our camper for 7 years and I still get excited when we pull it out of the garage.  We set it up this weekend to clean it up a little before our trip on Wednesday and I just sat inside and sniffed that "camper" smell.

When my son was little he used to go out into the garage and talk to the camper.  It was so cute.

BTW, I have met Wayne (Wavery) and his camping friend.  Very cool.  I have never seen a bird that can "poop" on command:eyecrazy: :D
