AHHHHHHH!!!! That's cute.....I'll tell Doofus.

The Malamute's name is Kenai.. We were in San Diego a few months ago to visit them and Doofus flew off of my shoulder and landed on the ground in front of Kenai. Kenai reached down and took Doofus in his mouth :yikes: ...totally.... My first thought was, "Well Doofus is gone......now don't make a big deal out of it".

Kenai walked over to me and spit Doofus out on the ground :eyecrazy: . Doofus didn't seem to be shook up at all, he just climbed up my pant leg, like nothing happened. It was one of those moments that you would have given anything to have that on video. :p

Give Kara a big hug and tell her that we and Doofus are quite honored that she chose Doofus to be on her composition book. :D

Quote from: dkutzWe just booked an ocean front site at San Elijo State Beach for Dec 20-22. There are still at least 2 ocean front hook up sites open as well as a number of non hook up sites if anyone would like to join us. We are in site number 17 and sites 19 and 20 were still open as a few mintes ago. This is one of our favorite campgrounds and we are looking forward to decorating a Christmas tree in our site on the cliff. :frosty: It seems as though this is the only time of year that we can get in there anymore. :XMas

Hi,

Where is San Elijo State Beach?  How much do the campsites cost on dec 20-22?

Thanks, Glenna

We are staying for 2 nights on the ocean side (first of many times we could actually get the ocean side) for $78. San Elijo is just north of Del Mar in San Diego County. This is a great campground with a beautiful ocean view and beach access. It fills fast most of the time but may still have some spaces left for December. I just looked and there are still some spots left. It would be great to have more people.

We try to stay within the 1.5 hour range from Los Angeles since gas is so high now.  But that place really looks tempting!

GRACY GAS is UNDER $3 a gallon come on down!!

THere are still none hookup sites available!!

Totally tempting... but I host our annual company holiday party that weekend.  Xmas on the beach sounds awesome though!

Dieter,

See ya on Friday. We are going to head down Friday morning.

It looks like a nice break in the weather for the weekend.

Our house in Fallbrook got blasted last night. I had the roofer go out and they are going to repair the roof tomorrow. It's raining cats & dogs there now. I guess there's lots of damage to the inside of the house. YUK!!!

What a perfect weekend at San Elijo.

That is such a beautiful campground. However, there are some spots that are better than others. Not all of the beach-front sites have a spectacular view but some do.

This would be a great CG for a rally. Some of the dry campsites will accommodate 2 campers and have spectacular views..

I'll post some pics tomorrow.
