Newbie here, getting my new to me, PUP this weekend

Hi all, I am just discovering this forum and loving it already!  I had in the past a 85 Jayco Jay 10Xd, purhased it from the side of the road for only $550.  Needed new canvas, but other than that was in great condition.  We camped in it all summer that year until my son (2 at the time) decided he was going to sneak out of the PUP and roam around the park.  We ened up getting kicked out of the park and the police were called on us (stupid).  After that trip I sold the PUP and have only been camping one time since then, and that was last weekend.  I have had the hankering to go camping again for a long while, but was hesitant with my kids still being so young (2,5,6).  We went last weekend with a good friend of mine with her PUP and our tent.  Had a great time but hated sleeping on the ground.  I was so jealous of her in her PUP.  Another friend of mine had a PUP that was just sitting in her yard that she no longer uses so I called her up and she said she would take $500 for it.  We went and checked it out and it was in rough condition but we talked about getting it anyways and fixing it and making due.  The next day I drove past another friend of mine's parents house and they had thier PUP out and a for sale sign on it.  I called them and they only wanted $300 for it and it only has one rip on the seam of the canvas about 3 inches long, and has a banged corner hubby says he can fix in about an hour.  The thing is in great condition, so we gave him $100 and will be paying the other $200 Friday and I can bring it home and start cleaning it and stocking it.  Hubby checked all the floors and sides for rot from the banged corner and found nothing wrong with it.  I am so excited!!!!  Ok, sorry this was so long, I tend to ramble when I get excited.

Congrats on you new pup and welcome to the forum :W ! When you get the pup take some pics and share with us. We all like to see when someone gets a good deal as well as the before and after pics once cleaned up. What make and  model is it?

I have no clue what make and model it is.  I just know it is in great condition for the price!  

Oh and the door top was laying on the dinette bunk, my old one was attached to the roof, not sure if that will be a problem or not, but hubby is a mr. fix it and works for a place that sells enclosed trailers and builds utility trailers and he has a catalog that is about 2 inches thick with anything and everything you need for parts for any kind of camper!

Congratulations on your purchase.  Hope the tires, brakes, etc., are all good.

Enjoy camp driveway while you stock the PUP, and keep pad/paper handy for the list of items you will need (wheel chocks, water hose, greywater collection).  Once you get the info on the PUP, you can possibly download a manual from PopUpPortal.com, as well as some of the manuals for the amenities.

Ok, we just couldn't wait any longer.  We went and picked it up this evening!  It is a 1996 Flagstaff, that's all I can find on it so far, but it was getting dark and I couldn't see well, and there is no owner's manual that I have found yet.  I will look better tomorrow. Got a few pics but only with it down.  Hubby went to raise it up and the wood on that back corner I was talking about crumbled so he will be fixing it tomorrow evening.  He wants to have it ready ASAP as he is wanting to use it this weekend!  Anyways, here is a link to the pictures that I do have so far.  Vada's PUP pics (before)
