Does anyone know if there is a bracket that I can use to mount a canoe to the top of my Coleman Santa Fe? The canoe is to wide and the AC gets in the way.

 Thanks

Hi, what year Santa Fe do you have? Also what kind of canoe and how big? I have a 17' Old Town that I put right on the roof of the PUP. I take out the center thwart (2 screws) and it fits right over the AC unit. I use those foam cartop blocks where the roof and the canoe meet and lash the ends (one to the bumper and one to the toungue). We traveled from Jersey to Montana and back last summer with no problems.
Hope this helped.

I have a 1999 Santa Fe. I was going to buy a canoe but could not see how it would fit. It's a 15.7 Ft Rogue River Canoe I found a good deal and havn't acted on it yet. The with 42 inches but it is not deep enough and I don't want to damage the AC. Does your canoe sit on top of the AC or does it fit flush with the camper top over the AC?

 Thanks for your help.

What is a foam car top block? Where do you get them?

 Thanks again.

I got my foam blocks at //www.cabelas.com . They are called "Riverside kayak carriers" but they work just as well on a canoe. They raise my canoe up about 2" and due to the curve of the boat, where it sits over the AC unit the canoe is about 4" off of the roof of the PUP. Now my AC unit is an old Emerson Quiet Kool which is larger than today's AC units and there is plenty of room over the AC shroud. All I can suggest is try it out and if it doesn't work you can use the foam blocks to carry the canoe on your tow vehicle.
