Well, we finally took the big step and purchased a new hybrid.  The dealer gave us a pretty good trade in on the Westlake and threw in the Equalizer WDH w/ sway control.  We already have the prodigy brake controller.  Now we were wondering if we should look into mirror extensions.  Does anyone use the standard mirrors on their vehicle or should we look into mirror extensions?  If we need new mirrors, any suggestions on which ones to buy?

Congrats Jacqui, (and Randy).
You will really enjoy all that extra space in the Hybrid compared to the Popup.

We bought the CIPA clamp on mirrors for our Silverado, and they did a great job of seeing who is right behind you. They were about $60 for the pair when we bought ours 4 years ago.
Have fun camping in it, and it will be interesting to see how you feel this tows compared tot he Westlake, I found when I was towing, I was taking it slower, just to be safe, but once I got used to the bigger size, I was just as relaxed. I found backing into a site was easier then the popup, as it kept a straighter line, and didn't want to turn as easily as the popup.

can't wait to check it out next month

Thanks Kevin for the info.  Randy hasn't towed anything this big before so it will be interesting to see what he thinks.  He ended up buying some sort of clip on mirror at Camping World.  He said it will do for now.  Of course he won't know how they work till Thursday when he picks the camper up.

Looking forward to July too.  I am so happy we will have a/c for that rally.

Congrats, Jacqui & Family.   Once you get used to the Hybred, then you will do like 6quigs and us an go BIGGER!!!   I liked our Hybred, but hated having to crawl over the U-Shape couch to make the bed.   I love all the space in the 5er.   Have fun with your new toy.

We had a head start on you.  We have had the popup for 7 years.  We went to pick up the new one and our popup was sitting on the lot open with a guy looking at.   I was sorta sad.  But then I stepped into the new one and everything was ok again.
