has anybody added shocks to their pup and did it make a difference? I am considering putting the dexter axels shock kit on our 06 niagra to see if it will help with the bouncing, on a bumpy road we get the sea saws, first the truck bounces and then the camper and they are never in sync, it's always one against the other. sometimes it's enough to make you seasick, especially coming across the currituck bridge leaving nags head.

greatdane

Shocks may help if the trailer is bouncing alot after the bumps (springs shot), but I would think the TV and trailer will not be in sync due to the distance/timing between the axles.  I always assumed that was what towing a trailer was all about-

Maybe you can write your Senator and have the road fixed?

I added shocks to my Coleman camper this spring because of the same reason you are asking about, I think. My ride in the tow vehicle is not very nice on concrete roads only, I get a lot of bouncing on any concrete road. The ride is smooth on a blacktopped road though. It does not matter if the concrete road is new or old either. First I tried new heavy duty shocks on the tow vehicle and it helped a little but not enough. Next I went with a weight distributing hitch with not improvement in the bouncing so this spring I installed the shocks. I really can't say that I noticed any improvement in the bouncing type ride after installing them but I did notice a small change in overall ride. I bought my shocks from //www.shockwarehouse.com  they are Monroe shocks. They used to have an installation kit available but when I ordered the shocks they called me and said the installation kit was no longer available. I got the shocks from them anyhow and made my own installation kit which saved me money on the deal anyhow but took a little longer.
The only thing I can think of that causes the bounce on the concrete roads with my set up must be the wheel base of the vehicle and the distance to the trailer axle which sets up the bounce on the joints of the concrete roads. We just got a different vehicle for the wife and I have not yet got all the wiring done so I can use it to tow with but when I get done I am going to try it and see how it does on the concrete roads.

I think the big problem is the distance from the TV to the pup, I tow with an 01 f150 supercrew 4x4 and I had the same bouncy problem with our 30ft tt towed with the same truck, but the 30ftr didn't have shocks either, I may just replace the shocks on the truck and see if that helps first.
