We recently purchased an older-model very basic (very!) tent trailer.  Everything seems to make sense of all the bits we have come across....except.... 4 poles that don't seem to go anywhere.  They are approx. 36" long, with a slight bend (maybe 22 degrees) about 4" from the end.  One end is permanently capped in plastic and the other is threaded with a hex head bolt and lock washer.
Ummmmmmm any idea on what they are for?

(I am preparing to hang my head in shame when I find out :yikes: )

Bent awning poles??

Possible but unlikely.  Each are bent in the same place, and look professionally "persuaded" as opposed to damaged.

But thanks for the suggestion!

For this kind of situation, the best remedy is to throw them in the trash. And about a week after the dumpster trash truck has departed you'll find out the real purpose for those poles. Then look at all the adventure you'll have trying to replace them!

(We try hard to give such postitive advice around here!)

Support poles for the bunk ends?  Check the underside of the bunkends, also the bumper and tongue to see if there might be a fitting for the threaded end.  Can you post photos of your camper and the poles?

By your description it sounds like they might be sections for a tent. Not sure why they would be threaded tho.
Pics would.might help.
