On way back from Colorado now and camping at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park near Estes Park Colorado was great. We had campsite 27, right at the highest point in the campground and the view was great. The weather was hot during the day, showers in the afternoon and early evening and millions of stars to sit by the campfire at night. The temps at night were mostly in the low 40's, and around 85 during the day. They serve all  you can eat pancakes or french toast in the morning for $3.50, lots of activities for kids throughout the day and the pool was warm. We saw elk and mule deer, and in Estes Park we shopped downtown with the rest of the tourists. Very nice trip, would do it again!

A person would have to try really really hard not to have a good time there. We were there last October and tried to figure out a way to stay forever. One of the best Reuben Sandwiches I ever had in my life was in Estes Park at a place called Molly B's, I don't know if it was really that good or that I was so hungry after spending a day in the RMNP hiking. Could have been a combination.

Anyway, I'm glad you had a good time.

Me and the wife and kids (boys, ages 7 and 5) will be at Jellystone Park in Amboy, Illinois this coming weekend. We're looking forward to having a real good time there. Thanx for the uplifting post. Jellystone Park sounds like a great place for family camping.

Anyone been to the Jellystone in Mississippi?  I also see they opened a brand new one in Georgia just over the Alabama line.
