Adco Covers

Hey there.  My wife and I just purchased a 2003 Coleman Utah from some friends and are ready to make the leap from tent campers to pop-ups.  Our friends kept the camper indoors and it is in immaculate condition.  With it's length, it is too long to store in our garage, so it will have to be in the driveway.  Any thoughts on covers.  I've heard Adco covers are good, but the folks at a camper store here said Fleetwood discouraged any covers to be used.  I'd like to hear from some more experienced pop-up owners as to what their thoughts are on covering campers.

No cover protects the camper from snow drifts, hail, racoons, mice, lawn-mowers, rocks, bicycles or baseballs. Faced with the same decision you have, I opted for a rental storage unit to store the camper inside.  The cost to me was $60 per month. I later sold an extra car so the camper now fits in the garage.

I am now facing the same decision with a boat.  Until a custom cover gets made, it is in the garage and the pickup is outside.  A custom cover will protect it outdoors during the boating season, and then I will have to find a storage facility for the winter.

I bought an ADCO last spring and it didn't last the Texas summer. The gray coating on top started peeling and cracking after the heat. Looked like a snow storm of debris when the wind blew. All the coating was gon e by fall.Very dissapointed in it.

I then bought this one last fall and it seems to be holding up quite well and the fit is better than the ADCO. So far, very pleased...and the price was right. Several others on here and other forums recommended it, so I thought I'd give it a try.

The real issue is traping moisture inside a PUP, which will happen if you use a non-breathable cover (e.g. a tarp).  I cover my Evolution during the winter with a ADCO cover.

Ckpopup, One thing to note... ADCO does not recommend their SFS AquaShed RV Covers for southern climates.  See this map.
