We just got back from 3 nights/3+ days at this park.  What an amazing place.  It is clean, well manicured, and has some of the largest camp sites I have come across so far.  We had site #234 which is right on Lake Ontario.  Some sites are in full sun, others have great shade from maples and weeping willows.  The trees blocked some of the view, but the sound of the water lapping at the rocks below was fantastic.  Electric only, but water stands are placed throughout the loop.  The dump station was clean and convenient to use.  The bathrooms are getting old, but were clean and functional.  There is some play ground equipment for the little ones, and some large fields for the older kids to play ball.

We used this park as a base for visiting Niagara Falls, and it worked out great.  It is a 20-25 minute drive from the CG to the parking lot at NFSP.  Traffic was non-existent.  The CG does fill up pretty quickly on the weekend, but there were some empty sites available.

We will be going back to Niagara Falls in another year or two, and we will definately stay here again.

We also stayed at this campground 2 years ago when visiting the Niagara area.  We loved it there and would go back again.  You forgot to mention the free parking at Niagara Falls State Park to visit the falls if you're camping in a State Park.  Saves you $10 per visit to the Falls.  From there, it's an easy walk across the Rainbow Bridge to the Canadian side.  Make sure you go at night to see the lights on the Falls.  2 nights a week they have fireworks over the Falls.  Don't remember which nights, check when you get there.

Right you are Dave!  Free parking at NFSP, and free parking at Fort Niagara as well (and any other NYSP during your stay at the CG).

Fireworks were on Friday night.  We caught the show, but it was rather short (less than 10 minutes).  The lights were nice, but we did not go over to the Canadian side, which has the better view.

I also forgot to mention the mosquitos and biting flies, which were out in force!  Bring bug repellent!

We stayed there also last summer for 3 nights. It was great. We loved the fact you could take the back road to Niagara Falls and free parking at 5 of the State Parks. Traffic was very light.  We were there over the July 4th holiday. The fireworks at the casino were one of the best shows we have seen.

We boarded our fur baby at Grandpaw's Place for the day and they were wonderful with her. We even had them give her a bath while we were visiting the Falls.

Visited Lewiston and had the best chicken wings at Apple Granny's located in the center part of town.

I would love to go back. DD loved this trip also.

Man do I love this site!  I just received travel info on Niagra for a trip I want to plan for next year.  I think I have gotten more informtion from this site than in the brochures I got!  Thanks for the great info - we'll definitely be visiting next year.

My wife and I are planning on staying at this campground and since you all have great reviews it looks like the right selection. We will be taking in Toronto and the hockey hall of fame and ofcourse a Red Sox and Bluejays game. Thanks for the reviews and I will let you all know of my experiance there.

Just returned from 6 day vacation staying at 4 mile creek camop ground. You guys were right, what a nice camp ground, and it does fill fast on week-ends. Since the cutback in staff, you don't see many things going on but the place was clean, bathrooms were also clean. Lake Onterio was calm for the most part and nights were a bit cool, thank god for furnaces. I would go again. Thanks all for the report, I enjoyed the place..!!!!
