That sounds like a good price, until you start looking around and see that you can get a new PU for around the same money. Take a look at RV TRADER put in your info and you will see what a PU is selling for around you.
If you really like this unit, make sure to really look over the roof. FW is known to have roof issues.

Good luck

Gracey, also look up the popup in Nada guides.  I sounds like a good deal to me.  The Monterey was the top of the line popup in the Fleetwood line in 2003.  Plus,  Popups are hard to come by in California.  You need to jump on it fast or it will be gone.

We traded our 2001 Coleman Westlake in on our new hybrid and the dealer offered us 3k for it without even seeing it.  When we towed it in, he popped it up on the lot, placed a Nada Guide retail sign on it and that was that.  They didn't even clean it.  When we went by the dealer a week later it was gone.  The price they put on it was $6,900 and it did not have a/c.

WHAT!  I would have given you $3000 for it!  The dealers always get the best deals!  :(

DH and I are really agonizing over this.  Its so hard shopping for stuff... always seems like we hunt and hunt till our heads hurt and just get burnt out on the whole thing!  Then always regret our purchase later when we see a better deal  :p

I hunted on that RV Trader site and there isn't anything as nice as this one on there right now.  Of course there are new ones for the same price and cheaper.... but they don't seem a stocked as this one!?!

I don't know what we're gonna do.... prolly just keep usin our '79 ol faithful another year! haha!

If you have firefox you may try a site called //www.crazedlist.org.  It will search ALL craigslists in the country.  It only works in Mozilla Firefox, and only after you "disable referrers."

Good Luck!!

edit: Is it this one located in Lanett, Alabama?  http://www.rvhunter.com/page-15252.html

I look at a purchase like in this manner:
1) Is it what I want?
2) Is it clean and well taken care of?
3) Does it have a ton of ammenaties that actually make it worth more and sell better later?
4) How close is it to me?
5) What else out there comes close in all 4 of the above catagories?
6) What are similar models selling for anywhere in the country on ebay completed auctions?

To me (and I don't know anything about the model) it sounds like a really nice camper that may be hard to pass up.  Plus, consider that it's the end of camping season, so it's a buyer's market right now.  With some dilligence, you may get an even better deal on it when you show up in person.
