Quote from: Dee4jput me down as "interested" I can't get online as I will be in the car taking Kara to school. she has a minimum day that day that weekend . the problem with Doheny is the water is one of the most unhealthful in OC... if it rains right before we camp there will be no going in the water

we were jsut there twice this summer, and honestly it was so rocky, and the waves crashing right on shore, the kids really didn't go in the water much.

Besides its all about poker and drinks anyway...

To me, Doheny is all about the beautiful setting and kids playing on the beach. It's a nice CG and the beach front sites are big.

I don't think that many will show a lot of interest in going in that water in April. That water temp is pretty low that time of year :frosty: .

Having said that.......we plan on bringing our Kayak....just in case  :p .

Kara wouldn't have any fun she hates playing in the sand  ;)

If anyone is able to get in and make 1 reservation, there is a good chance that you may be able to make 2 reservations in the same session :D . There may be people that won't be able to get in at all :( . The theory behind making 2 reservations (if you can get in at all) is that you may be able to help someone else out that wasn't able to get in :U .

Does that make sense to you guys????

Maybe I'm not explaining it right. :compumad:

I get it Wavery, what you are trying to say.  If we decide to go, someone will definitely have to get us a spot as we will be working on the day we are supposed to try to reserve.
Will ask the DW if she wants to go down that way in April.  Will try to let everyone know soon, like in a few days or so.  DW is dealing with failing health of her mom, and there is some uncertainty about things currently.  She could get better, but we don't really know yet.

Thanks,
John

yes it makes sense let's say everyone lucks out and gets 2 sites? hopefully then people will sign up and you don't have to cancel any.

Gracy

We may be interested in this one.  We would have to decide this vs. Newport Dunes trip though.

What is the cost for the weekend with this?  Did I miss that part?  I'll have to re-read.... haha!

I don't think that there's much chance of everyone getting 2 beach-front sites. The problem would be more like, some may luck out and get 2 and some may get none.

In the unlikely event that someone gets 2 beach-front sites and only needs 1, I doubt there will be much difficulty in finding someone to take the extra site  :sombraro: . Doheny beach-front sites are premium.

Keep reminding me I will forget...

We are interested in this camp out.
Some one will hopefully get two sites as we will be working on Wednesday.
Other wise I would get a site for us if we were not.

Ok so is it possible to have more than one reserveamerica account?  Do they go by one per email address?  Or one per household?  Or what?

And then if you get two accounts, would you use both to try for the same spots, or different spots?

I have 11 computers in my room, I could take over reserve america!  Hell, I could have the kids try for spots!! :-()

You da MAN!!!!!

You can have have as many accounts as you have email addresses. You can make 2 reservations per account.

You would want to try for 2 spaces on each computer separated by a comma (each computer signed onto a different email address & password) and each computer should try for different spaces. Just don't try for spaces that someone else in our group is trying for because it may just hang them up.
