Making a New RV CG!

Here at APG's we are all tore up because of BRAC moving into the base. The Recreation Services has ask me to help them plan and setup a NEW RV campgrounds here at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. I will be sitting on a board of six configuring location, and mapping out location for each site. The first problem we have is how many sites to start with. I keep telling them that we need the location first and then we start with numbers. Because this is new to APG I am thinking an area large enough to start and also grow. My reasoning is we are on a Military base that has limit access too. Mostly military personnel.
 
 
 
Yes, there is a Military Campground program across the US. Hopfully they can help provide info and some additional funds. I am looking at 12-15 sites to start with.. All have electric and water. One thru ten would be RV sites. the rest would be tent sites.

As to the number of sites '?' I can't tell you that, but demand always seems to exceed supply!

Hopefully the 70% RV sites will be W/S/E (30 & 50amp), and the remaining 30% of sites for tenters will be easily accessible to a bathhouse.

10 rv sites and 5 tent sites sounds like a good start.  Be sure to let us know when it is up and running.  I will come down and check it out.
