Our Boy Scout Troop (Troop 75, Tannersville, PA) will be heading to Antietam in a couple of weeks.  While our boys will camp in tents with the rest of the troop, DW and I thought it would be nice to have our camper for the trip and some "Mom & Dad" time.  Does anyone have any suggestions for a campground nearby?  Rohrbach is the group campground the Scouts will be staying at.  I am not sure if they would allow the PUP there, nor am I certain I want to camp that close to them!

The closest campground to Antietam is the Yogi Bear Jellystone Park on MD 68.  In Williamsport, just off of I-81 exit 1.

There is a KOA off of MD 63 in Williamsport. The other direction at exit 1.

Both campgrounds are on the web.

Our scout troop (troop 145 Clark NJ) went there 2 years ago and stayed at that KOA. The troop stayed in primative tent sites while a couple parents brought their campers and stayed in RV sites (nowhere near the tent sites). My son said it was pretty nice as far as KOA's go.

Thanks for the suggestions.  We are not really KOA/Jellystone type campers, but we may consider trying one.  I was hoping there would be a state park CG nearby, but I could not find any.

Closest one I can think of is Greenbriar State Park in Maryland.  I don't believe that is close enough for your needs though.  It's probably 1/2 hour from Antietam.
