Regardless of who you voted for, we now have a new President elect. I can't tell you how glad I am that this election is finally over.

So, that being said, I noticed the sun did rise this morning and my wife and I have decided to go camping this weekend. We are going to Indian Creek Reservoir which is less than two hours from home where we can get a spot on the lake in the primitive campground where our nearest neighbor will be at least 200 yards away. The air is fresh, the hiking is easy the water is clear, and the fishing and kayaking is excellent.

The weather forcast is sunny with the high in the lower to mid 70's and the nightime lows in the mid 40's.

We'll enjoy our campfire day and night. We'll fill the air with the smell of coffee, bacon, eggs and biscuits in the morning, enjoy a hike, a paddle or the persuit of a nice fish or two for an evening meal while soaking in the slendor of the day. At night we'll stoke the campfire and cook a gourmet meal while enjoying a nice Merlot, the peacfulness of a star filled sky and the joy of sharing it all with each other.

We'll retire to our pup, perhaps a little Hanky Panky and then sleep the sleep of a contented soul.

The next morning we'll get up and do it all over again.

Have a great weekend, I know I will.

And that, my friend, is what it's all about.  Enjoy.

Pace yourself Mister! You've got some "work" ahead of you! :p

YIPPEE!! All the "politiking" and political hot air is overwith and hopefully we can get back to normal for a while.
Have lotsa fun on your trip......

Done Working

Sounds absolutly perfect.

I will be trying to duplicate such a scenario at home...

I'm glad all the hype is over (both election and World Series YAY PHILLIES!).

The work isn't - I'm a student; I have calculus 1, history, and geography exams all due Thursday at midnight.

After that, I am going to sit on my patio with DH & sons (temp's supposed to be about 70 Saturday), enjoy the fall foliage, light the bbq, and enjoy drinks (beer for adults, sodas for boys) and RELAX.

Happy fall, everyone!

I too am glad that all the political campaigning is over!!!

Perhaps it would be the responsible thing for us to do to pray for WISDOM for the new President Elect that our country will remember the principles it was founded upon. As I heard today on the radio, He is NOT the SAVIOR, but an elected official.

Now it's time for the rubber to meet the road so to speek. I'm not getting my hopes up for this administration.

QuoteNeither are we, but I just made reservations at one of our local faves for the weekend also.

Cajun Camper has the right idea here.
