Just got back from a weekend at Roman Nose state park in oklahoma.
The weekend went quite well, apart from the fact that the bigger end bunk slipped past the stop on the rail and went too far out-leaving a huge gap for the cold air to get in! anyone else have this happen? i need to get a nut and bolt to make up a new stop.
The thermostat for the heater is pathetic too-it springs back when it's set higher up!

I really felt the cold sleeping in the end bunk this time, mostly 'cause the t-stat was crap. I did stick it in position with a bit of black tape, but then the wife complained it got too hot.

The lack of a decent toilet too was noticeable-we've put up with the porta potty too long-it's getting very uncomfortable to use.

All in all, looks like we'll be looking to move up to a hi-lo or some such with a built in toilet and shower, and hard sides, cause the weekend was just bloody miserable!

Viking Epic.

Too bad it was such a bad weekend.  Shame you couldn't have shoved that bunk back into position and maybe popped the cover off the t-stat and gotten it more functional.

New Atwood t-stats are $15 and change all day long on ebay.  Just bought one a week ago.
