I want to get a cordless drill to open and lower the roof on my E3. I'd also like to use it to raise and lower the stabilizers.

What do you use and/or what do you recommend?

He Ruide

I use a DeWalt XRP (DC 920 KA) 18 volt drill.  With the right adapters you can also raise and lower the tongue jack as well as a BAL leveler if you have one.

Here is a photogallery with the drill and adapters.

Hope this helps.

+1 on the Milwaukee.  Can be had cheaper if you shop around or buy used.  About $170 for the battery and charger.

Careful, the 28 volt will twist your arm off if you are used to smaller cordless tools.  Also, careful with lithium  battery charging.  I

Thanks for the heads up on the fire issues of charging lithium batteries. I just recently purchased one over the holidays and am used ot charging them while at work, but not now.

This site provides an unbelievable amount of possibilities and alternatives for all.

Even though I didn't start the post I learn something new 99% af the time from new posts  .

What timing. Went to my father in laws this weekend and he gave me an 18v cordless drill.
I'm hoping it has the power to raise the roof of my E3. I'll try it out later this week.

I see you installed a key'd chuck in your drill, was wondering if you had issues with the keyless chuck.

"I've modified the XRP drill and replaced the key less chuck with one that uses a key"

I have a DeWalt XRP 987, but it is a strain to put my roof up, but my roof is exceptionally hard to crank up.
