The door on my E3 slams hard and can be rather loud. Is there a, very, thin stripping to put on the door and still have the door shut easily?
I tried weather stripping and cut it really thin. The problem is If I cut it any more it wouldn't have sealed up the gaps in the door and if I left it the thickness the door would be difficult to latch and unlatch.

We always had the same problem. So I decided to drill out the rivet on the spring on the door side. Figured if I didn't like it, I could just rivet or screw it back on. I have to say it is one of the best mods I have made. Give it a try and if you don't like the results, you can re-attach it.  :eyecrazy:
Good Luck  :p

I'll have to look at that. I don't recall a spring on my door.

Drilled ours out as well, then attached a small "s" hook on the spring,Now I can take it off when needed with ease.
