Today at work while out on a job I saw someone drive by pulling a pup and it really gave me the urge to get out camping. I am going to try to make it out this month with our youngest son for his one on one trip but don't know if I will be able to or not. We will definitely be going next month as wildflower season will be starting. With a pretty wet winter this year it should be a nice show this year.

I know the feeling. I made plans for this Fri. and Sat. at Rock Hound State Park, NM for our 11th Anniversary weekend. It is the closest state park to Deming where we will go to http://www.stclairvineyards.com/ and do some wine tasting and bring back a few gallons of wine. This is my very favorite red table wine, I am not much of a drinker but this is my fix. We are so looking forward to it, just the two of us getting away  for a couple days.

We went to Usery Pass Park the end of January. It rained Friday and the campground was full but we stuck it out in the overflow and got a spot on Sat.  It was a great time. We rode bikes and did some hiking up to Wind Cave. We really liked the park. It was really clean but mainly taken over by the snowbirds.

Hope to catch up with you soon.

Take care.

We've got the itch too...Going to try and head out the last weekend of this month to either JP Coleman State Park (Iuka, MS) or Persimmon Hill (Enid, MS).

We are going to Whitney State Park this weekend and then March 13th- 19th we will be in Cleaburne State Park. I get excited about going camping :-() . My wife does not understand it though :(    My 2 youngest daughters are always ready to go, no matter how wet, cold or hot, they are ready!

I was at Lake Whitney this past weekend, though I stayed in McCown Valley Park.  I enjoyed my stay and was glad we were back in the trees and not on the lake.

There is still frozen snow on the ground here and more snow expected tonight in Northern New England. You remember don't you AZsix?
