I was trying to change my right rear light bulb on our Coleman Destiny and one of the ears that holds the tail light lens/cover on broke off.  Is it possible to superglue the piece back on the light housing or will I have to find a replacement light fixture?
Any other suggestions?

Thank you,
John

Here's one suggestion.

You want to create a backing strip to glue the tab onto the lens cover.  Find a strip of plastic that's about as flexible and strong as the lens itself.  If you don't have anything in your garage, use the blade from a cheap plastic putty knife.

Cut a strip of plastic from the blade as wide as the tab you're repairing and as long as the depth of the lens cover.  Then glue the strip to the tab and lens, fitting the broken pieces back together.

I'd use epoxy glue, or maybe gorilla glue.  Superglue creates a very brittle bond that probably won't last long.

I had to replace the lens of my Starcraft on the driver's side because the plastic frame also included the license plate bracket. I managed to snag up against the license plate and snapped that bracket. Tried glueing it but could not get it to hold. In calling Starcraft factory parts I was pleasantly surprised to find the replacement reasonably priced. So many replacement parts on so many things are so overly priced these days ... anyway a common consumer can possibly be gouged!
