I am in the process of getting my 2006 Jayco 1206 in working order for the season.  I noticed after replacing the back panel on the roof that the canvas material only on the back side is very stiff compared to the rest. Is there a product that will restore it and make it normal again? I have called Jayco and they were no help at all. The rest of the trailer is in great shape. Since I bought it in 2007 it has always been stored inside and haven't used it. This year I want to spend the time to get her ready to camp in. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Welcome to PUT and the world of PU camping.  When you say you replaced the back panel, do you mean the tenting on the bunkend?  What is the tenting made of?  If it is vinyl I would use 303's vinyl product.  The name escapes me at the moment.  I hope you have many good camping trips this year.:)

Sorry.. The back of the roof I replaced was the wood part that connects the two sides and roof top. The canvas attaches to this piece on a piece of plastic railing on the inside. I think the PO left it out where the sun directly hit that portion of the trailer, funny thing is the top back part of the roof is in perfect shape. As far as the material I am not sure what it is, there seems to be two different materials, the sides appear to be vinyl put the top portion feels more like canvas. My owners manual metions the use of Scotch Guard however I not sure how this would make the material soft again.
