Though we didn't get to camp here (whiffle tree broke while setting up) I can talk about the cg. It is pretty much a no frills cg with spots right next to each other. However you can't beat the price of $6 a night with water and sewer hookups. There are no showers but they do have restrooms. Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring. For those that have been to Tortilla Flat know that there isn't a lot to do there but Canyon Lake is only two miles away. The cg is open from Oct 1-Apr 30. Since it is so remote the nights are very quiet and very dark. We do plan on going back at some point.

Not a campground worth traveling far for due to the fact that there isn't much in the surrounding area but makes for a quick little get away for those that live close.

Used the campground in the past while tent camping and used it for the first trip with the Livinlite Quicksilver Camper in April. The place is usually full on the weekends and you have to take care in selecting your site. You could set up within a couple of feet of the next campsite fire ring and sometimes the idiots will have a bonfire.
