I have a leak in my jayco. I hooked up the water and the filter was not secure and it leaked now that is taken care of and there is water seeping from under the fridge into the bunk storage area from the lines under the fridge. Right now I jacked up the front and am hoping it was from the filter and eventually will run out and stop. If not, has anyone replaced water lines from under the fridge? Looks like a real treat. Are there better clamps for the fittings?   Shredder

Are you sure you don't have a broken fitting.  I recently worked on a Coleman that leaked when it was hooked to city water and found the plastic fitting inside the wall, had cracked. That water was running along the water pipes and then dripping off somewhere else, and running out from under several place.

I guess that's possible, I filled the hot water heater first with the city water tap before filling the water tank, but when I had seen water on the floor under the seats, there was also water under the swing top sink where the water filter and water filter link goes, so I asumed the link was not seated right and that caused the leak, but for hours there still was water seeping out from under the fridge. I checked this morning and it is somewhat dry, so I turned on the water pump to pressurize the system and will check again for leaks......Shredder

It looks like I had two leaks, one was the link for the water filter, it was not secure, (my fault) and two the hot water tank inlet fitting was loose. Don't ask me how that got loose, I had no leaks last fall, or when it was winterized. I think/hope that's it. I will be camping next week so that will be the real test....Shredder

This is caused by union labor and it's why our country is in such bad shape right now.

.........just kidding man, put down the Glock :yikes:

Glad you found the leak sources.  Teflon paste on plumbing threaded fittings does a much better job than teflon tape, so take advantage where applicable.  I'm guessing it's the vibrations from being towed all over that causes stuff to work loose.  Then throw in the temp swings from summer-fall-winter-spring, and you've got loose fittings.

Yuk, yuk, Oh no  :eyecrazy:  here we go again!

I was really sweating it for a while. I had visions of going without a water tank for my upcoming trout fishing trip. And I was scrambling today because there was rain the forcast. But like they say all's well that ends well. I should do a good check all over. If you seen some of the roads this trailer has been, wow.
My very first time out in it I was miles down a two track, and it was getting muddy then muddier, then huge puddles through a swamp about a half mile long the culvert was out for the stream that passed through it, do to logging trucks in the area. I had no chance to back out so I went through the wash out, it was a about 18-24 inch drop, but I made it through it and the stream without getting stuck. The only damage was everything was in new places and some glasses were broke. So this little camper has some reason to have some loose things I guess.  Just like me.......Shredder
