snap placement in awning hardware

We recently purchased a gently used add-a-room for our Coleman popup. The only thing we have left to do is install a snap in the middle of the awning bar. Any ideas where to purchase the snap and how to do it.

try any fabric store. they should have what you need...  If I am thinking correctly, you should be able to use a velcro loop, and add a snap to it.  loop the velcro over the pole and back on itself with the snap hanging down...
