We continue to camp in Kings Canyon and just returned from 3 days/nights.  We like it for 2 reasons: 1) camping is first come, first served, and there is plenty of room and quite a few campgrounds.  2) it's got camping along the river if you're willing to drive the extra hour and get down into the canyon 30mi in from the entrance gate on HWY 180.  That makes it a 5hr haul for us, but well worth it.

My new LED lights in the ceiling and porch lights were a hit.  Love 'em.

It was cool up there in the mountains, and the Wave 6 Catalytic Heater ran all night, 3 nights in a row, keeping us warm and toasty......and not waking us up because it's silent.

I repacked the wheel bearings while the wheels were down at the tire store getting re-shod in Carlisle USA Trails, so I enjoyed some carefree towing, not wondering if my tires would make it one more season.

Fridge worked almost too well and I had to turn it down each day because it was keeping the temps in the low 30's without effort.  That's a first, especially at altitude.  But I'm sure it was due to the 53*F nights and 69*F days, so I'm not going to get too excited.

Installed my new-to-me 10' awning, but wound up not using it because we were in the shade.

Had some problems with the mid-80's Duo-Therm Furnace that I installed after last season (replacing my 1980 version of the same furnace).  The biggest issue was the sail switch hanging up.  Had all kinds of battery voltage and was able to actuate the switch by hand, after which it would work for a while and then hang up again.......so I've got some fixing to do there.  I was only running that furnace in the late afternoon early evening and I had a backup so it was only a minor PIA, but a PIA just the same.

Our 9yr old DD did another Junior Ranger workbook and program (attend a Ranger talk and go on a hike, etc.) and earned her second badge and patch from the park, so that was fun for her.

Overall, a good trip and we're already talking about where to head next.

Very nice Todd!
I remember those gas pumps were Unocal last time I was there.  Those things are cool!  Looks like a nice place to revisit sometime.
