I think the Mrs took some real nice pictures....oh and the awning looks good too...:D

I think the beer we all consumed :! while standing around watching you work was very good. :Z

Seriously though, I thought it turned out very nice. The best mods are the ones that solve an annoyance without costing a lot of money.

Now, all you have to do is add a shower curtain to complete your outdoor shower.....:sombraro:

We bought a new awning off of Craigslist for our pu recently and stored the old awning in the garage.  Would it be a bad idea to put the awning on the back side of our pu?  Might shade the slide out?  Where would we buy the awning railing to install it?  Any ideas?

Sailrite has anything that you might need for awnings or upholstery. If they don't have it....you don't need it.:D

Thank Wavery
Just what I needed.  Is there any reason we shouldn't put the awning on the back side?  Weight isn't an issue since I can carry it myself.  DH will just have another job to add to the honey do list.

To the contrary..............I'd think that the weight would be balanced out better.

Keep in mind that in most camp sites, you would park the PU close to the elect/water post which in turn is close to side line of your camp site. Having a full size awning on the backside, you could actually have your awning in your neighbor's site.
That's the reason behind the Backside Awning Mod ;)

I did think about being too close to my neighbors, but if that were the case, we just wouldn't set it up for that trip.  Except for over 4th of July, we have been pretty lucky and haven't had that problem.
