I looked at a Coyote 23CR today and liked it a lot.  Since I have not looked at hybrids before, I want to know who makes them and models.

So who made yours and what model is it?

Is there any to definitely avoid?

Anything special that I should have in one? (from the dealer)

Please chime in with whatever info you have to share.

OC Campers

We purchased a Jayco 23b last June and really like it.  It has a ton of storage space and a lot of living space.  The main reason we bought this camper was the amount of seating space but not that we own it, I am not that thrilled with climbing over the U-dinette.

Here in Northern California, there were not a lot of choices for hybrid trailers.  We looked at the Coyote and liked that you could get Sunbrella canvas as an add on but my husband liked the craftsmanship better on the Jayco.  Plus the closest Coyote dealer was in Nevada.  We liked the Starcraft 23sbs (my first choice) but the bunkends had poles to assemble (this was being  changed in the 2009 model but I didn't want to wait.  The other reason we didn't buy the Starcraft was the price.  The dealer wanted $8k more for it than the Jayco.  All in all, I love my camper.

We have a Jayco 19H Exp, dual axle. If the dinnette were on a slide out it would be almost perfect for us.

I wish hybrids came equipped with a front trunk, there's not enough storage for the stuff like chairs, 9x12 mat, grill, etc.

We have an 07 Starcraft Antigua 215SSO hybrid. I agree with Dave...not much storage. I have added 2 side-to-side 4" round pipes for storage. No pics yet. I painted them black, so they are nice and discrete.

I kinda have the itch for a TT, but it will be years before Holly gets the itch. I'm already a little tired of the bed setup.

Thanks for the info.

How much trouble is the bed setup?  Can you describe the process?  I am 5"2' and wondered what you might have to do on the outside and would I need to carry a ladder to help with the setup and takedown.
