We just got home from North Bend Park at John H. Kerr Reservoir AKA Buggs Island. What a great place. It was recommended to us and I'm so glad we went.

If you havent been, I'll recommend it to you. The place is huge - 250 spots. Sections A & D are primative. B and C are very nice. Not all have electric & water. The spots closest to the water that are in the flood plane dont have hook-ups. But most do.

We are already planning our return trip.

For years our various families would have our annual family reunion camping trips at County Line Campground on the NC side of Kerr Lake.  Since one family has retired to Townsville, NC, we now camp at Hibernia CG on Kerr lake.  Excellent camping and water recreation.
