Hershey RV show - Are you going?

Hi all,
 
Should anyone be interested, we are camping Sat/Sun at Harrisburg East and going to the RV show on Sat and Sun.
 
Paula finally decided that it is virtually pointless to try to do this show in one day...including driving up and back.
 
This campground, which I know nothing about, still has some sites available.  I wanted to go to Pine Grove, but they want 2 night min at $45 each.
 
We're starting to get the itch for another camper...which explains the length of time at the show...BIGGER fifth wheel...
 
We've been out a fair amount this year - Mystic Seaport, CT/Rhode Island; Elk Neck, MD; Salem, VA; Wytheville, VA; Nashville, TN; Ashland, KY.  Probably looking at a local trip (Hancock, MD) in the next month or so.  Fall trip back to Cape May, NJ.  And one or two more...
 
Suzannah turns 16 this Sept...still have Shadow and Penny.

It's nice to know that some others made the journey to the "Dark Side", and are enjoying it...
You didn't mention the name of the campground you know nothing about.....maybe that's why you didn't mention the name? Or is Harrisburg East the name?

In any event, I don't even know what dates the show is being held...

I stayed there in 2007 for the rv show.  It is a decent campground.  Not one you would want to stay for any lenght of time.  The sites are rather close (like a KOA).  You can hear the highway all night on the one end.  Other than that, it is a quiet place.  What site are you on?  It is an easy drive to the show.

Harrisburg East is supposedly the name of the campground. Mid Sept is when the show is.
 
See you moved out of the Roo and went even larger - talk about Dark Side...and yes, we love it.  Particularily when it was raining for popdown...or hotter than you know what during setup.  Or pouring like it was in KY when we pulled in.
 
But the true buddies are the popup folks we started with...TT and 5er people don't quite hang out as much...

Good info!  We have stayed in more campgrounds with the highway noise this year, here we go again...:eyecrazy:
 
No idea on site #, Paula didn't know (or ask).  Are you going to be at the show?

Kershner it is good to hear from you.  I am planning on going to the show, but I don't know what day.  When it get closer I will post when I am going.

I try to go to the rv show every year.  I plan to be there.  Not sure which day yet.

Won't be there, have too many campers to even start looking. I have to get the house clean for the cleaning lady...seriously...

I know where Harrisburg East is have been past there everytime I go through (around) Harrisburg. it is on the expressway.  You can see the campers.

Not a bad campground, for the 30 mins I probably saw it.  It is directly in the Harrisburg flight path (ask how we know :rolleyes: ).  Not the most welcoming office staff I have ever met - I called and asked them a couple days earlier - when can we come in?  After 11, but call that morning, maybe they will have left earlier.  I double check the day before - same answer.  We get there at 1130, the woman gives us a look and says, you're eeearrrllly...
 
We went, we saw, we compared, we committed...
 
 
Supposedly 4-6 wks after the show, we will see the custom built 5er we ordered...
