I have a 2002 Coleman Utah, the gasket that goes all the way around the roof and seals up when you close up the camper is wearing out. I have for the past year had to constantly glue areas to keep it attached, now a large section is becoming unattached. I have no issue with just re-gluing but the gasket is also worn. Does anyone know where I can purchase a new gasket and also what glue would be best to attach. I have been using superglue but I find that it has limited life span. I want to do the repair correctly and am not interested in saving something that is worn.

Sorry I posted this on the general forum first.

You can get it at the Coleman dealer you have to measure how long it is they can order it.

The BEST W/strip adhesive is:
3M Super Adhesive Weatherstrip Adhesive (8001)
That is yellow but it's the best.

If you want it in black, ask for 8011 but it doesn't work as well as the yellow.

It can be found at most auto parts stores that carry 3M products.

Be sure to follow the instructions on the tube. It must be applied thinly and evenly to each surface and allowed to dry. It's sticky guey stuff. We used to call it, "Snot". When you touch the w/s to the body, you'd better have it in the right place. This is a contact cement and once the 2 surfaces meet, they are stuck and stuck good. They will not come apart.

Clean the surface real good with Acetone.

There are other places to buy that stuff. This place has "Trunk W/stripping" for under $2 a ft.

Look around on the web and make a few calls. I think that it may be basically the same w/s that they use on most car trunks. I've seen it in 50' rolls.

Sorry but there aren't any automotive gaskets that match either the old triple lip or the newer bulb gasket. We've researched it and the company that makes both for Coleman/Fleetwood only sells them OEM to Coleman/Fleetwood.
