I have been searching for awhile looking for the connector type that is on the side of the inside ceiling lights.  It looks like a banana plug, similar to the plug in the old days of your home stereo headphones.

This ceiling light recepticle may not be in newer or older units, but I have a 2000 Coleman/Fleetwood Fairview.

I want to make a 12V extension cord to run a small FM Radio and another extension cord off the other ceiling fixture for a low current lamp over the dining table of my slide-out.

So, does anyone know for certain what connector type this is?  This will save me having to pop it up in the driveway, take a ceiling fixture off and check it out.

What you are looking for is a monaural 1/4" phono plug. Radio Shack has them.

NO. An RCA phono plug is a different animal entirely (even looks totally different).  RCA phono plugs are only available in mono.  They are the typical connectors used in home audio (and sometimes video) equipment.

phone (short for telephone) <> phono (short for phonograph).

What you want is a 1/4" PHONE plug.  Radio Shack has them.

AustinBoston is right, it is a phone plug not a phono plug. I stand corrected. The item number you are looking for is 274-1536. They come in a 2 pack for $3.99 at Radio Shack. This is the male plug that is on the cord. If you are looking for the female part that is in the light fixture they will have that also.
