Quote from: cjpoppin;216679We vote for no smoking too......Now if we could just figure out how to get a smokeless campfire.....Life would
be perfect.....

I can tape the handle to the "on" position on the fire starter :p

here here.  My parents both smoked, and mom died of lung cancer 15 years ago.  Can't handle the smoke, and drives me nuts when people aren't considerate enough to step away from the crowd to smoke....

For some reason I still like pipe and cigar smoke, a little.  But even then its too much if someone is sitting nearby...

Well, Being a smoker I dont think Wayne over stepped any bound in this request. With Toni being a NON smoker , Ive always tried to respect other's because it is a horrible addiction and its mine NOT yours and if I'm the other, SORRY. I dont recall smoking around a smokey fire pit.

This camp out is just two days after Sean's 15th birthday:cake:.  So in honor of his birthday, we are going to SURPRISE  him with a pinata!  We are planning to do this at 4pm(site to be determined) on Saturday.  We would like to invite all the kids to join us.  If for some reason you do not want your child to partake, please stay clear of the pinata site.  Again, IT IS A SURPRISE...so please do not let your children tell him!

Kim, we sent you a PM.

Assuming you are planning to head south on I-5 to the 52, you "should" be okay. Traffic on the southbound 5 though OC usually doesn't start getting ugly until about 3 or so on Fridays. I work in South OC and use this freeway everyday. By late afternoon S/B traffic is a mess.

South of Camp Pendleton you may hit some slowing through Oceanside. This seems to be intermittent according to some of my co-workers that commute from there every day.

If you were thinking of heading out the 91 and taking I-15 south my only advice is........good luck! I have yet to figure out the best time to leave on a Friday if you are heading out that way. Last time we used that freeway we were in bumper-to-bumper all the way to Riverside. This after leaving Orange just after 12noon.

Travel safe. See you there.

I'm not telling my kids...the best way for them to keep a secret is to not know it in the first place...then they too will be surprised...:sombraro:

If no one else brings a fire pit we will have ours...(.It's not very large we've used it once before for the group maybe twice) .....We always have it in the Trailer.
