Hey y'all - there's only 4 more wakeups!!!! :-()  It turns out DW and I are watching our 2 y/o grandson this week, so he'll be coming along. It's his first ever camping experience. I'm sure glad there's some playground and pool areas he can have some fun in. That'll help keep him occupied. We're going to leave the mutts home this trip. I think DGS is going to be enough of a handfull.

See everybody there!!!

Us two.........I have a locked up shoulder :swear: so this trip may be a bit of a challenge.....

Have we figured out where the camp-fire will be? We'll need to pull up and drop off some wood.

don't worry about the firewood. There will be plenty of helping hands to carry the wood for you. And for a small fee :U I could help with set-up :sombraro:
Ho Ya !!! you will have to wait until Friday for the help :compumad:

In solidarity to the chicken who isn't laying any eggs...and also because I just realized I can use my slow cooker - I'm making my carnitas instead of chicken.  So the chicken can breath easier now!!!

Still planning to bring hash browns to breakfast, though.  Those potatoes are just out of luck!:sombraro:

I am going to address a very touchy subject here and I hope that no one gets offended. The truth is, this only pertains to one or two people and I've already talked to one of them.

When there is someone smoking at the camp-fire or potlucks, there are several members that just won't come. They don't say anything to anyone, I've just noticed that they stay away when someone is smoking.

It would be nice if those few that smoke, would smoke at their own campsite then join us at the fire. I know that most do that but there are a few that don't. It's really not fair that we don't get to visit with some of the members because one person decides to smoke at the camp-fire.

My brother and SIL are coming to this camp-out and I have asked her not to smoke at the fire (as she has done before) or potluck because of the reason stated above. It would be hurtful to her (and others) if someone else decided to smoke at the fire or potlucks.

I hope that this doesn't offend anyone. It really isn't my place to say anything, it's just that I felt it my responsibility to say something to my SIL, on behalf of others and then I realized that it was not fair to her not to bring it up here. I certainly don't want to offend anyone here either because I know that this can be a very touchy subject to some (on both sides of the issue).

We vote for no smoking too......Now if we could just figure out how to get a smokeless campfire.....Life would
be perfect.....
