Well I had my first camping trip of 2010.  I did not spend much time in the camper, and it wasn't my camper, but I was camping.  I went camping in Midland Maryland on New Years Day.  I wanted to camp New Years Eve, but DS would not camp and I wanted to be with him, so I left in the morning.  I am glad I did not have to tow.  It was very windy, with snow squalls the entire weekend.  COLD, in the single digits and teens the entire trip.  The wind chill was well below zero.  I used a "potty bag" with poo powder in it for my toilet.  I put the toilet bag in the camper toilet (did not use the on board facilities due to the COLD).  I had electric heat and warm bedding.  I don't think there is anything like starting the new year with a camping trip.  I believe dthurk was camping over new years, again.  Did anyone else get out?:D

We had planned to be camping, but with all the rain and "warm" weather, the camper was in the middle of a mudhole.

There's always next year.

Yep. Once again the MAC crew was at Elk Neck for New Year's. We had 9 sites with 23 people. 5 other sites were occupied by folks from rv.net who were also there last yr. The weather once again proved to be interesting; sun, rain, snow, frigid temps, wind, etc. A little bit of everything this yr. But a great time was had by all!

I'm glad someone is camping out there.
I guess some of us will have camp vicariously through the hardy souls.
Keep the fire high and check in. It's quiet on the boards.

I'm with you Mike. This weather just doesn't conjure up thoughts of camping for me. I like the campfire idea, though, so Chris may just have to put up me lighting up our fireplace. He seems to like fires, when they're not at our place.

We don't have a fire place, so if I want a fire I have to go camping.:U

Yes, we were camping over New Years also.  We left home Monday after Christmas for Pittsburgh to visit DD #1.  We left the camper winterized, only drew off a bucket of water to be able to use the toilet at night.  Lowest temperatures we had was 8 degrees.  Our furnace kept us toasty in our sleeping bags.

We were on our way home New Years Day and ran into bad weather.  Roads were getting bad, night was coming and we were still over 2 hours from home.  We ended up Walmarting a bit west of Jamestown, NY.  It was the coldest night of dry camping we've experienced yet.  We kept warm with a Mr. Buddy Heater.  Heard the parking lot being plowed all night.  We woke to about 4-6" on the ground in addition to what had fallen before we stopped.  Roads were better in the morning, made it home safely.  That got us our first night of camping in 2010!
