Tom Brokaw explains the relationship between Canada and The United States, in a pre-recorded short film that aired on NBC, prior to the Opening Ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on Feb. 12th, 2010.

Thank you so much for sharing that video clip!  I found it very informative, and as a camper, I liked that Brokaw mentioned that both Canada and the US are, in effect, joint stewards of much of North America's natural resources (such as coastline).  Most people in the US realize that there is a friendly relationship, but often do not realize the specific reasons - this clip did a good job in highlighting some of those.

I think the only shortcoming of Brokaw's report was that he didn't mention my favorite Canadian exports - Moosehead Beer and the music of the band 'Rush';)

I have to tip my hat to Canada for a great Winter Olympics. And with a country with less people that California, they are leading the world with 10 gold medals!!!!!!!
