Hey all!

Well we got a tad over a foot of snow a few days ago...

BUT NOW we have gotten about 25 - 30 INCHES of snow in the past 24 hours.

I was contemplating taking the camper out for a weekend trip soon, but there is simply no way I'll be able to get it out of the backyard now.  I literally have an 8 - 10 foot wall of snow in part of the yard from plowing.  There is nowhere else to put the all the snow...

snowed in...  check out how the snow is over the tongue, propane bottles, and connects all the way up to the roof!!

Hi Rick, instead of getting the camper out, get out and play in that snow. If you adults can't get around too easily, you can at least watch some sledding or snowman building or igloo making or something.

We also got hit with quite a bit of snow. Kels has been loving the sleeping late and "no school". Court even got out and played a bit yesterday. I remember how she'd be out there for hours, until almost purple from the cold. She never wanted to come in. The other kids not so much. This afternoon was more of a cleanup for Chris (I got stuck doing some earlier storms so today I got to stay in and watch hockey ;)). Thank God for snowblowers and a neighbor's new monster machine (I think Chris said $16,000) that cleared the end of our  driveway/road mess. That alone sometimes takes me hours to clear away...

Give my love to the fam. Miss you.

Not snowed in this time, and I am happy about it.  It did cancel a trip to Cabelas with the BSA this morning.  If they weren't leaving at 0730 they could have gone this afternoon.  I have been up extra early to make sure I get to work on time.  Yesterday morning was my worst drive.  There were five and six foot drifts.  At work, which has had much more snow than at home, there were drifts on the east sides of the buildings what were up over the windows.  They had to bring in equipment to clear the snow away from the east facing doors.  Human shoveling was not keeping up.

Too bad Rick.  I was out 2 weekends ago for a nice quiet 3 night trip and I plan on going out again next weekend.  On my last trip there was a couple in a tent.  They lasted one night, well maybe one night.  I did not see when they left.  The cabins had people in them two nights.  The third night it was just me, a raccoon and a cat,the raccoon and cat were in a dumpster together.  That was very strange.  I would not have thought they would be in there together.:eyecrazy:

Sorry folks you won't get any sympathy from the North East. I do know the feeling about getting your rear kicked by snow. But not this year for us, thankfully. We did get a couple of good storms earlier this winter, you people got the worst the last time around.

Yes, but the people around this area, especially delaware ( no offense to anyone in cotoc that lives in del ), can't drive properly in 2" let alone 2'.  That isn't even counting that there were multiple storms and some towns had the bright idea to plow it up on the corners so you couldn't see oncoming traffic.  Oh well, enough complaining about people in vehicles who shouldn't have a licence to begin with.  Besides, I had so much fun driftbusting in the truck that I slightly bent the bumper in.  Oops.  Guess I should keep my mouth shut then.

We still have 15" of snow surrounding the camper.  This is the first year I left a camper out in the elements.  It figures. :o  It might be a month or so before that thing gets moved.  It gave me a good reason to buy a new camper.  I am picking up a 2010 Jayco Jay Feather Ex-port 17z on Thursday. :D

Tracy drug me into so many campers over the last year.  I really had no intentions of getting anything.  I believe she had her mind set on the 17c.  We both saw this one at the same time.  I guess they are sister campers.  :-()

I was leaning toward the 17C, but I really don't like the U dinette.  When I went into the Z I thought I was going in to the C.  I did not know the Z existed.  It wasn't on Jayco's website at the time.  I think Nancy just wanted to have a newer trailer than I do.;):yikes::eyecrazy::D

Congrats you two on your matching campers. Just don't start dressing alike or we'll definitely have to say something ;)

Did anyone get out camping this weekend? It was beautiful. We still have snow, but it's looking VERY dirty down at curbside. Chris noticed quite a bit of the ice on our lake (here in town) is gone. Seemed to happen all at once (funny how 50 degree weather can do that).

Our van went in the shop today to try to resurrect the transmission - so we'll be ready in case we ever get the chance to tow haha.
